Fast becoming an established event in the FSI calendar, the 4th Golf Invitational took place on 29th June 2007.  What promised to be a rainy affair quickly became basked in sunshine.  Set against the glorious backdrop of Warley Park Golf Club in deepest Essex, the players got to know each other over a friendly team game of Texas Scramble.  The winning team comprised of Dave Curran (Vertex), Bill Rabbitte (Bear Sterns), Andrew Hall (AFH Consulting) and John Humphreys (Societe Generale).

Following lunch in the Lakes View restaurant and a ten-minute downpour, the serious 4th Invitational commenced.  Club members were treated to a formation of golf buggies winging their way around the 18-hole course, stopping off mid-way for some much needed refreshments!

Events were brought to a close by a well-earned dinner and bar session in the Lakes View Restaurant.  Individual winner of the 4th FSI Golf Invitational was Mike Heath from Peterborough City Council, closely followed by Paul Shanahan from FRL and Colin Chapman from Peterborough City Council.  Further prizes went to Dave Curran of Vertex and FSI’s own Rob Stringer, who both won prizes for Nearest the Pin.  The winning Invitational team consisted of FSI’s Compton Darlington and Dermot Rudd, Peter Middup from PFM and Colin Chapman from Peterborough City Council.

The 5th FSI Invitational will take place summer 2008.
