Concept User Group meeting, December 2009

Iain Murray and Jonathan O’Neill introduced as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Concept™ User Group, in the first meeting held in December 2009.

FSI (FM Solutions) Limited, Microsoft Gold partners and developers of the Concept™ Evolution fully web-enabled CAFM solution, is pleased to announce the successful launch of the Concept™ User Group.  Taking place in December 2009 at Wembley Stadium, attendees were introduced to Iain Murray and Jonathan O’Neill, the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the User Group.  Both Iain (Chardfm) and Jonathan (Inviron) are users of Concept™ in their organisations, and both bring extensive knowledge of CAFM and the FM Industry to their elected roles: Iain is the current Chairman of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) whilst Jonathan is a Concept™ Champion at Inviron.

With formalities dispensed (welcome speech, User Group mission statement, and rules of the User Group), Users were invited to discuss their use of Concept™ at site, in the “I didn’t know Concept™ did that” elevator-pitch session.  Informal presentations were delivered from G4S, Anglia Ruskin University and H&J Martin, as well as Chardfm and Inviron.  Users were then divided into splinter groups, to discuss topics including scheduled and blue-sky developments of Concept™.  Following a feedback session to the collective group, the meeting was brought to a conclusion with discussions including the setting up of a Social Networking site for the User Group to network with like-minded Users and interact with FSI experts, as well as confirmation that several User Group meetings will be held each year.

The Concept™ User Group is an independent body set up to encourage networking amongst colleagues and fellow Concept™ users.  The purpose of the User Group is to promote the collaboration of User Group members and FSI, discussing the evolvement of Concept™ through frank, open and constructive discussions.  To become part of the Concept™ User Group for influencing the direction of Concept™ and to network with fellow users, please send an email to usergroup@fsifm.com
