Since its formation in 1990 as Facilities Software International, and following a Management Buy Out by the Operational Directors in 2002, the company continues to be a market leader in Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), under the name of FSI (FM Solutions) Limited.

The growth and success of FSI are built on a firm foundation of technical expertise, both in IT and modern facility management.

FSI was conceived as a company to supply building services and facilities management software. The value of IT as a vital tool was evident early on, and FSI was one of the first companies to market a user-friendly Windows-based maintenance package, with wider functionality than existing DOS-based software. As the market developed and facilities management evolved in technical sophistication, the demand increased for comprehensive IT solutions to match the needs of clients.

By this time, FSI was at the leading edge of technology in facilities management software, and was rapidly developing IT products to meet the growing requirements of commerce and industry for effective facilities management. FSI have been developing a steady stream of innovative applications, using the latest .NET technology, including our SLA Management module and Workflow process tools. In parallel with its pioneering product development, FSI is investing heavily in staff development and training. The intention is to ensure a first class personal service, where staff expertise matches both the sophistication of our products and the needs of our clients. This emphasis on staff qualifications was recognised in 1996 when FSI was awarded Investors in People status.

Our development of the role of Implementation Consultant has enabled us to forge even closer working relationships with our clients. Each Implementation Consultant works as an integral part of our client’s team, understanding their business rules, structure and requirements. The outcome has been further business expansion, which has taken FSI into many areas where IT provided the FM solution.

Our emphasis on client service also keeps FSI in tune with market trends and developments. The result has been rapid business growth, with a substantial share of the market and an impressive portfolio of blue chip clients. The sustained and lasting relationships with our clients are even more satisfying, and many of them have been with FSI since the company was formed.
